This is a very early watercolor (I was 23 when I did this), painted directly from life long before I started taking photographs to paint from. The scene is Reedy Creek, near where I grew up around Kingsport, Tennessee. A Marine buddy of my dad’s bought the painting years ago, and when he passed it came back to me.
